(3) The Rhenish Mission desire to send to "onkong

ment, the Society would be prepared to substitute another
of their missionaries. They deaire that the large house
in Bonham Road should be sold and the proceeds made avail-
able for the support of their work in the Frengtung
Province, which is in serious financial straits.

Certain monies are at present in the hands
of the Trustees derived from the rent of the property
of the Rhenish Kision. We understand it is the desire
of the Trustees to hand over these monies to the Rheni sh
Kission to assist in their work in the Kwangtung Province, and that the Secretary of State was recently consulted by This the Hongkong Government in regard to this proposal. matter, we are informed, is one of exceptional urgency since the missionaries in China are stated to be suffering
very great privations.

(5) In regard to the Basel Mission, permission has already been granted for the return of Mr Juoker. has been awaiting the decision of the Board of Trustees regarding the property which is needed for residence and
